Cabo Part 1

These photos are from the house.

We had a fantastic vacation in Cabo at my sisters beach house. We had to get back early so that myself and Doug could get back to work and let me tell you it was not easy transitioning back to "reality" Cooper had a little stomach bug from traveling and we were all a bit grumpy. But enough about that, lets talk about our trip to paradise. We swam, played at the beach, ate yummy Mexican food, went on a sunset cruise on a yacht where dolphins swam along side the boat, and we slept with the sound of the waves every night. It was amazing. We took a ton of photos. Shocker, I know. I am going to break up the photos over a few posts. I am going to start with Cooper in Cabo. He can officially swim, even in a deep pool. Very cool.

The kids grab these lanterns and run down to the beach at night. Magical.

9 Months Old

Today Fina is 9 months old. Strange that she has been out as long as she was in. We visited the doctor today for her well child check up. She weighed in at 18lbs 13oz and was 27.5in long. 50th percentile, so not too big! Home grown, baby. This is a 100% breast feed baby. She is not a fan of solid food either, which we are working on. She can sit up on her own but is not showing any signs of crawling. Having experienced the joys of an early crawler before, I am happy to wait :) She is saying Mama and Dada (I am serious).
I have said it once and I will say it a thousand times, we are so in love with this baby. She is such a sweet girl. Such a joy to be around.
Mama got a new lens and was so excited to try it out for Fifi's 9 month shoot. I know there are a ton of photos but I was in love with all of them! I picked up the pearls to add some glam to the photos and to use as a prop in shoots to come.
Happy 9 month birthday my baby girl. I have loved every minute of it. I love you so much!

Giggles and dinner idea

As I was cooking I heard this coming from the living room. I snapped a few very short videos. It was very cute, if I do say so myself.

I am not a "make up your own recipe" type but rather a "find recipes on other blogs" type. So you likely won't see me doing a recipe tutorial here but I do want to share what I made for dinner last night. I grabbed it off the The Pioneer Woman's blog. It is BBQ meat balls with Mashed potatoes and it was delicious! I subbed ground turkey for ground meat and it worked great. This is the second time I made it and it was a hit all around, even from a very opinionated little boy. Try it. You will like it.

If your in Seattle, enjoy the sun today. It is going away after today. I am taking advantage and have an outdoor photo shoot his afternoon :)

Did you miss this face?

It's been a while since I posted new photos of Miss Fina. She is such a joy. Sometimes I pick her up and she snuggles in and I literally say out loud "thank you god for this baby". I love her so much I can't even put it into words and I am a wordy girl.
today the weather was lovely. We spent lots of time in the yard, clearing it out. We are really clearing out our front yard this year. Fina happily sat in the yard for over an hour while we worked. Cooper helped me clear out the growth and played with worms, "giant worms" to be exact.
It was a nice day. Have a great weekend.

Couch Surfing

A play date in the evening consists of vino for the Mamas and some serious couch surfing for the boys. Very fun. Very fun, indeed. Yes, I let them jump on the furniture. And I am glad I do. So fun. Enter and play at your own risk :)
Lets do it again soon!
