Sick Of The Camera? Not Here!

I often get asked, "don't they get sick of the camera?" My answer in a word, no. Maybe you are thinking that isn't possible with my giant camera in their face on a daily basis, but it is. Cooper often asks me if I want to take a picture of him doing whatever it is he is doing. On this particular day, he said, "Mommy, lets take jump pictures." Always trying to try something new, I figured, why not. So here is what we got. These two had a blast and all three of us were cracking up after the fact looking at some of these photos. I just love the look on Fina's face in these. I loved the commitment Cooper had in getting "the shot"! Then, I love the photos of them totally exhausted after jumping their little legs off for an hour!
So fun!

Tulips

If you haven't been the Tulip Festival, I say go now! It is stunning! The kids really enjoyed it. We packed into the mini van with some friends and headed out. It is a photographers dream. So many bright colors and great leading lines. However, Cooper was not in a photo mood that day. O well. He was much happier jumping in the huge puddles that were everywhere. I still managed to get a few great shots. Enjoy!

Vacation

I have to say, my camera didn't come out nearly as much as usual during this vacation. Why? Well, we were on vacation. We laid by the pool, played, and relaxed. Fina learned to swim, which was fantastic! Cooper may have grown fins and gills as he was in the water nonstop! Lots of fun in the sun, and lots of relaxing. Perfection. Cabo, we love you. Until we meet again! Here are some photos from our trip.
Have a great week!

Something A Little Different

I am a firm believer that before you invest in new camera equipment that you should rent first. Okay, maybe I haven't practiced this belief before now :) But, before you go and drop a huge amount of money on a piece of equipment you should try it out, right?
I have really been interested in macro photography so I decided to rent the 100mm macro last week. I played with it outside and also used it at my shoot on Friday. I am in love! Wow! I have never been a painter but these remind me of paintings. For me, this is the closest I will ever come to being a painter and it feels great to see myself as this type of artist. Does that make sense?
I will be posting over on my business blog the session where I used this lens for portrait's as well. I am going to save up for this baby for sure!!
